DPF-D80 is the new 8’’ digital photo frame from the house of Sony. The photo frame built with an elegant and contemporary design gives a number of fun and convenient viewing features. Its 256 MB internal memory has a storing capacity of up to 500 photographs and the unique orientation sensor in-built in the design of the photo frame automatically rotates your pictures to display correctly. The frame is made of glossy black plastic, which is somewhat fingerprint resistant. Although, power, menu and navigation buttons are available on the right side of the frame, yes it comes with a remote control that is more easy to use.

The DPF-D80 photo frame has slots for CompactFlash, SDHC/MMC/xD and Memory Stick Pro/Duo and a connector for the AC adaptor and mini USB, but the full-size USB connector for thumbdrive is missing in this model. In addition to transferring files directly from the PC, DPF-D80 also allows you to copy and resize all or selected images on a card to the internal memory of the frame. Apart from JPEG, another file format that can be displayed on this photo frame is SonyARW (raw). The Sony DPF-D80 frame supports separate controls for the LCD backlight and brightness and provides the usual handful of Western languages plus Russian, Japanese and Chinese. Sony DPF-D80 is one of the fastest models as far as copying and resizing is concerned and it can display both large and full-size photos. Although,  Sony photo frame is a bit costly for the basic features, but it is packed with almost every feature that an average user desires for.
